SRH Vs CSK Prediction 22 May, IPL 2018 Playoff Qualifier 1: Match Analysis, Preview, Playing 11, and Betting Tips and Match.

The group stage has finally ended of the VIVO IPL 2018, and there are only 4 matches left, the first to be played at the Wankhede between SRH and CSK, known as Qualifier 1 on 22nd May. Both will have a second bite at the cherry even if they lose this match, but that shouldn’t be their priority now. So, the playoffs are underway and who has the better team, playing XI, match preview, pre-match analysis and prediction, who will make it to the finals?

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Despite their consecutive defeats, SRH is the most balanced team of IPL 2018 due to their adequate bowling line-up and excellent batting mentality. With captain Kane Williamson at the helm of things, and Tom Moody pulling the strings, SRH is known to not panic under hostile situations, and even after their heavy defeat against CSK in the reverse fixture, and also the close match in the first game may not affect SRH. Previous wins or losses do not really have such psychological advantage as such.

Batting Line-up

Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan will be their main man with the bat, and I would love to see Hales get in the team once again, as he hasn’t really struggled to adapt in Indian conditions, but his lack of scoring big runs shouldn’t be the reason for SRH to bench him. He can be a match winner on his day, and with the spinners of CSK, Hales can sweep or slog them to every part of the ground. Manish Pandey is finally getting into his element, and it will be his moment to score big and win matches for them. Yusuf Pathan is back and much will depend on him. Shreevats Goswami did a good job opening the batting, but that gamble may not pay off against CSK.

Bowling Line-up

Bhuvnesh Kumar and Rashid Khan are the keys to SRH’s title hopes, and both have bowled beautifully, but it is the remaining set of bowlers who have failed to kick in the last few matches. Siddharth Kaul has been taken to cleaners quite a few time, and Shakib isn’t getting those crucial wickets anymore. The key for KW will be to chose the perfect XI for this match.

Key Players

Bhuvi and Rashid with the ball and KW and Shikhar Dhawan with the bat will be the key to SRH’s hopes.

Predicted Playing XI

Alex Hales/Shreevats Goswami, Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Carlos Brathwaite, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Rashid Khan, Siddharth Kaul.

Chennai Super Kings

CSK finished on a high with a comprehensive victory over KXIP, and there were a few changes which Star Plus Nayi Soch candidates like Bhajji were potentially and Chahar promoted up the order and the latter went full Rambo mode on the KXIP bowlers. Such cannot be expected against a dominant SRH bowling, but MSD is never short of surprises.

Betting Line-up

Faf got a rare look in but again he failed and that will mean Shane Watson getting the nod and his bowling is an added boost as well. Ambati Rayudu has been a revelation and he will hold the key against SRH after he scored a century against them the last time these two met. Suresh Raina and MSD are in great touches, so the finishing won’t be a problem. Sam Billings will look to get underway quickly and he can be devastating as well.

Bowling Line-up

The death over bowling has been below the standards, and Dwayne Bravo isn’t able to bamboozle players anymore. Bhajji and Jadeja are bowling well and Deepak Chahar has been excellent as well. Lungi Ngidi should get a look in after such a deadly performance against KXIP.

Key Players

The key would be Rayudu and Watson at the top, and MS Dhoni at the end. The bowling department will depend on Chahar to strike early and Bravo to end his woes and put up a stellar show at the death.

Predicted Playing XI

Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Sam Billings, MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Lungi Ngidi, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja

Match Prediction: Who Will Win today’s match?

Much will depend on who wins the toss and MSD does have the charm to win them so given CSK wins the toss they can walk away with the match as they will bowl first. SRH will also look to do the same. The game is evenly poised and could be a match for the ages. SRH is more favorites to win Qualifier 1 of IPL 2018 Playoff because they’ve lost last three matches and they would like to win this match anyway.
