KXIP Vs SRH Prediction 19 April: Who Will Win today’s Match Between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab?

The aesthetically pleasing ground of Mohali is going to have a ball as two of the most exciting IPL teams will be facing off each other in a battle for supremacy. Sunrisers Hyderabad is the most balanced team of IPL 2018 (personal opinion), and have been excellent even without their talismanic batsman David Warner. Kings XI Punjab will be backing themselves after defeating CSK. Let us get on with the match details and predict the outcome, shall we?

KXIP (Kings XI Punjab)

One of the strongest teams of IPL 2018, KXIP has the liberty to bench David Miller and still look ominous on the pitch. It was baffling to see Chris Gayle sit out for a couple of matches, and the Windian was back to his best with a fluent 63 against CSK. The form of Aaron Finch will worry Ashwin, but he will still have Miller and Stoinis at his disposal. Yuvraj looked good, but it is about time that Ashwin looks for a more explosive option. Stoinis will make a good case considering his bowling abilities as KXIP look a batsman short whenever they field Finch and Yuvi together. However, KL Rahul is proving his worth after being whopped in for a mammoth 11 crore, and he has looked sublime ever since.

IPL 11 has seen Ashwin keep faith in Mohit Sharma, and despite knowing his remit, Sharma could spearhead the attack with Barinder Sran and Andrew Tye in the company. Ashwin has been troubled with his decision making, and despite Mohali’s huge outfield he seems to bowl a negative line. Mohali has always been kind to the fast bowlers, but with Axar Patel out it is likely to be an unchanged XI.

Rahul and Gayle without a shadow of doubt will be the key players, and one of them could well land the purple cap of IPL 2018. Nair and Agarwal have looked good as well, and the domestic lads will try to make the most of it. Andrew Tye with all his variations can be a game changer with the subtlety of Mohit Sharma always there.

KXIP Playing XI

Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Yuvraj Singh, David Miller, Karun Nair, Ravichandran Ashwin, Andrew Tye, Barinder Sran, Mohit Sharma, Mujeeb ur Rahman

SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

One of the most balanced team if not the best; again. Sunrisers Hyderabad is looking for another grandstand finish this time without David Warner. Saha and Dhawan are looking to give the impetus, and it is about time the Delhi lad asserts his domination. Williamson is a serene bloke with a nonchalant behavior that makes him an anomaly in the midst of a high paced tournament known as IPL. SRH could not have asked for a better captain than Williamson who has got his team right and is utilizing the best out of the Indian pitches. Mohali will cater to Kane’s captaincy, and he may tinker a little with his starting XI.

Shakib Al Hasan is still a world-class all-rounder, and he will be relishing at the thought of big Mohali ground giving his license to bowl traditionally. Manish Pandey hasn’t had the best of starts, but his match-winning fielding is a treat for the sore eyes. However, SRH’s best bet is Billy Stanlake; an innocuous giant who can bowl at 150, and vary his pace at will. A revelation of all sorts. Rashid Khan is a superstar already, and he has got the company of Siddharth Kaul, who is having a great IPL 2018. Bhuvi is always there spearheading the attack.

It is tough to single out key players, but I bet the bowlers will do the trick. Billy Stanlake and Rashid Khan alongside Bhuvi and Kaul can defend any target or can restrict KXIP to a paltry score as well.

SRH Playing XI XI

Shikhar Dhawan, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Billy Stanlake, Siddharth Kaul

KXIP Vs SRH Prediction: Who’ll Win today’s match?

Odds favor SRH despite the game being played at Mohali. KXIP need to outscore them, as SRH’s batting abilities haven’t been tested yet in high scoring matches but Sunrisers Hyderabad is a much-balanced team than Kings XI Punjab. Also, SRH has won 8 out of 10 matches against the KXIP, including the last six straight.
