17 May, RCB Vs SRH Match Prediction, Analysis, Preview, Playing 11 & Betting tips.

The IPL 2018 season is almost drawing to a close. For our next match, we have a faceoff between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chinnaswamy, Bangalore on 17th MayOne team have already qualified for the playoffs, while another is clawing at any desperate chances. SRH have cruised past the opposition in IPL 11. With disciplined batting and admirable bowling, the SRH team have blown past everyone. RCB have struggled a lot this year. Despite a powerful batting line up and bowling, the players have been unable to perform at the expected level. A win against SRH is a must for RCB at all costs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The last match against KXIP showed us what RCB could have been in IPL 2018. An excellent bowling performance sank the Punjab ship. A team that never truly clicked before seemed to have found its path. Bundling out the entire Punjab team in just 88 runs, the RCB bowlers sure proved their worth. Umesh Yadav was almost unstoppable in the power play overs. The pacer bagged three wickets including that of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, to halt the momentum of KXIP. Colin de Grandhomme put in an impressive spell conceding just 8 in two overs. Chahal put forth his best performance of the season, conceding just 6 runs and bagging a wicket. Kohli also seems to have got his perfect spinning partner with Chahal in the form of Moeen Ali. The form of Tim Southee is still in question, as the pacer did not enjoy a successful night.

Bowling Line-up

Chasing just a paltry score of 88, captain Kohli opened the innings with Parthiv Patel and did not disappoint. The two steered RCB to a successful victory without the loss of any wickets. Although this was a very convincing win for RCB, they should not let it get into their heads. SRH have the best bowling lineup in IPL 2018. Kohli needs to lead the team from the front and the rest also have to give it their all. Winning the last two matches will be very crucial for RCB to hope for a place in the playoffs.

The home ground should put the team in a good mindset. With nothing to lose Kohli & co need to throw in their all.

Predicted Playing XI

Parthiv Patel, Virat Kohli, Mandeep Singh, AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali, Tim Southee, Colin de Grandhomme, Mohammed Siraj, Shadab Khan, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

The top team of IPL 2018 saw their six-game unbeaten run come to a screeching halt. The conquerors’ none other than their neighbors CSK. SRH now have lost both their matches against Chennai. The famed bowling lineup got decimated by an unstoppable Ambati Rayudu. Despite starting off strong on the back of the fifties from Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson, the loss of wickets stopped them in their tracks.

It will be good news for SRH that Dhawan is slowly getting back to his dangerous form. Alex Hales and Manish Pandey will be interesting to watch out for in spite of a poor showing in the last match. The bowling of RCB is elevating to a different level right now. The batsmen of SRH need to be at the top of their game too. Deepak Hooda’s quick fire of 21 will surely catch the selectors notice.

Bowling Line-up

SRH’s bowling has been their key weapon this season. With Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan leading the charge, the bowling unit has acted cohesively to restrict teams. Against CSK though, it was a different story, as it came as a woeful performance. Although one match does not take away the fact that the orange army has a lethal bowling. RCB will have a tough time with Bhuvi’s swing and Rashid’s spin.

SRH have not much to play for with playoffs being secured and a top two positions cemented. Still, they would like to hold on to the top spot and not lose it to CSK. The bowlers need to stop the likes of Kohli and de Villiers while Dhawan and Williamson will look to score with the bat.

Predicted Playing XI

Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, Alex Hales, Shakib Al Hasan, Shreevats Goswami, Rashid Khan, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma.
